GPI Wins Big at CCA Awards

Graphic Packaging has won the top award at Coca-Cola Amatil’s (CCA) Partner for Growth Awards for a second time. In the virtual ceremony, GPI was crowned Overall Partner of the Year once again, previously winning the award in 2017. This puts us in a league of our own—no other company has won the overall award twice. We also won the Quality award for the second consecutive year.

The Partner for Growth Awards celebrate ingenuity and the commitment of suppliers in helping CCA deliver innovation and results in sustainability, product development, business systems, and customer service. Categories include Customer Service, Supply Continuity, Quality, Competitive Advantage, Sustainability, Innovation and Growth, and Rookie of the Year. This year is the first time the event has been held virtually to protect employees and suppliers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

GPI has a long-standing relationship with CCA that goes back some 25 years, through packaging machinery placements and paperboard supply, though it was only in 2018 that GPI secured 100CCA Partner for Growth Award percent supply of their paperboard business which includes multipacks and wraps.

Partner of the Year

“Graphic Packaging International supplies packaging to CCA sites across Australia. Throughout 2019, the team at GPI consistently demonstrated supply excellence throughout all aspects of our relationship with CCA,” according to a press release from CCA. “GPI delivers on the fundamentals of a supply relationship with CCA, but also demonstrates a continued partnership approach including regularly targeted insights into innovation, and quarterly business reviews. GPI lives and breathes the CCA values and consistently receives high praise from team members for their service and support.”

CCA Quality Award

“GPI won for delivering over 140 million units to CCA during 2019 with almost no quality issues and consistently demonstrating performance improvement behaviors.”

CCA gave glowing praise of the partnership between our companies. Alison Watkins, group managing director of Amatil, commented: “These awards and recognition are very well deserved and reflect the strong relationship between our companies and the commitment your team have invested in supporting Amatil. Please understand your efforts are appreciated and especially during what is proving to be a challenging 2020. You should all be proud of what you have achieved.”
