Graphic Packaging is celebrating winning two prizes at the prestigious WorldStar Global Packaging Awards.
The paperboard consumer packaging leader received awards for its collaborations with Coca-Cola’s bottler in the northeast USA, Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages, and Salzburg Schokolade, the traditional Austrian confectionery manufacturer. Hosted by the World Packaging Organisation, the awards recognize the best of the best in the packaging industry, as entrants must first win a recognized national award to qualify for entry.
KeelClip™ for Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages
The innovative KeelClip™ solution developed for Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages was tailored to meet the customer’s precise needs, helping them reduce the amount of plastic in its portfolio in line with Coca-Cola’s ambitious ‘World Without Waste’ goals.
Salzburg Shokolade Holiday Kugel confectionery packaging
Developed by our Polish team, these innovative bespoke confectionery gift boxes combine striking aesthetics with product protection benefits thanks to a round, two-piece telescoping base and lid design. A vivid geometric printed design, matt varnish, and gold foil stamping give the pack a premium look and feel befitting the luxurious Mozartkugeln confectionery inside.
Reflecting on the win, Ricardo de Genova, SVP of global innovation and new business at Graphic Packaging said, “The WorldStar awards are particularly resonant for us since winners are chosen by judging consensus that a pack is ‘superior in its category and market’, and ‘considerably above class standard in execution and innovation’. We are so very proud to work with our customers on consumer packaging innovations that can make a world of difference to brands, consumers, and the environment.”
“I want to congratulate our customers, Salzburg Schokolade and Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages, and thank them for their partnership and collaboration.”
Continuing the momentum
The accolades come hot on the heels of a successful 2023 for Graphic Packaging that saw it win a total of 47 awards for its packaging innovations, and corporate and leadership excellence.
