Job Purpose:
The core role of the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager is to manage the businesses compliance with statutory Health, Safety and Environmental obligations.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement various Risk Assessments, including PUWER and COSHH assessments. Conduct DSE assessments, noise level exposure tests and manual handling assessments.

Preparation of data for packaging waste Return/IPPC air Permit completion of return and liaise with compliance organisations.

Deputy for ISO9001:2015 Lead for BRC Certification standards.

Implement and update all HSE, Hygiene and Environmental Policies and procedures in accordance to document control practices.

Conduct internal audits and manage external audits to ensure that all compliance is up to date, and accreditation is maintained.

Oversee all health, safety and environmental issues, ensuring that all company procedures are adhered to and communicated to relevant personnel.

Implement processes and systems to improve the HSE culture.

Ensure all HSE legislative requirements are adhered to including compliance to Environmental Permits.

Collate and communicate HSE statistics and trends on a monthly basis.
Skills:
-
NEBOSH Diploma equivalent.

IEMA Certificate or equivalent.
-
Good Health, Safety and Environment experience in a manufacturing business.

Use of Riskconnect and SharePoint systems.
-
Manufacturing & Transport HSE experience (desirable)

Will be working in very fast paced environment so must be experienced in dealing with pressure and be highly organised with an ability to multi-task and manage one’s own time.
