FieldPack™ Punnet Tray

The FieldPack™ punnet tray is a top-sealed paperboard tray for applications such as cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, grapes and berries. It is suitable for packing in a pack house or field packing.

An effective alternative to traditional PP and APET punnet trays, it has been developed with growers, packers, and machinery suppliers in mind to ensure that its performance is at least equivalent to plastic punnets.

The FieldPack punnet tray runs on existing machinery, facilitating an easy and cost-effective switch from plastic trays.

With our extensive experience in developing custom solutions, we can help to establish the ideal specification to meet your needs.

**  Directional cradle to gate carbon footprint. For the paperboard punnet tray, it includes: board type and weight with emission factors based on supplier primary data following CEPI 10 toes methodology (valid until 2028-10-13), data for conversion based on average scope 1 and 2 emissions from all Graphic Packaging converting sites in the region (as calculated by limited independent third‑party assurance in accordance with ISAE 3000 and 3410), data for ink and varnish from industry averages. Sheet waste generated during conversion is included. It would be later recycled leading to credits in a cradle to grave analysis. Inbound and outbound transport is symmetrically assumed to be 500 km by truck for the two compared cases. In the case of the PET tray, Gabi LCA Packaging Calculator (2024 Sphera database) was used and excludes, any converting waste and any additional materials used in the PET packaging, e.g. labels, sealing layer etc. The model uses industry average data and is consistent with international standards ISO 14040 and ISO 14044.
